Zoro really woke up half-dead, lost in Impel Down, covered in scars and blood, and his explanation was basically:
“Guess I took a nap.”
This is peak Roronoa Zoro behavior.
Man absorbed pain meant for his captain, tanked something straight out of Level 6, and treats it like he overslept. No flashbacks, no trauma arc — just muscle memory and loyalty.
If Zoro ever says “nothing happened,” assume the world almost ended and he handled it personally.
